I have been working in the mental health field since 2005 and have been focusing exclusively on doing psychotherapy since 2017. The wide range of experiences I have had since entering the field have made me a solid clinician with a broad knowledge base and unshakeable confidence in the face of challenging clinical situations. I know when to seek consultation with other experts in the field and I am connected with some of the best. My confidence and relaxed, nonjudgemental approach makes it easy for my patients to talk to me about even the most difficult of subjects. I am experienced enough with structured, evidence-based treatments to make use of my skills with the creativity and flexibility needed to meet the individual needs of my clients. I'm a systemic thinker and am trained to approach problems holistically. I am very comfortable and skilled in discussing subjects that some therapists may balk at including nontraditional sexual practices, gender diversity, nonmonogamous relationship dynamics, suicidality, and nonsuicidal self-injury.
I talk more about myself on my PsychologyToday profile, so take a look if you'd like to know more about me and my approach to therapy.
