Our History
Lasting Change Therapies (LCT) began as Avail Therapeutic Services in 2016. Founded by LCT therapist Sellers Bell, Avail began providing services to a small number of clients in 2017, primarily focusing on home-based and community-based psychotherapy and psychosocial rehabilitation services under contract with Dane and Rock Counties in southcentral Wisconsin. In 2018, while Avail was still operating, Sellers began working part-time at Integrative Psychological Consultants (IPC) as an outpatient psychotherapy provider. In the years that followed, Avail's county contracting business shrank while IPC's outpatient psychotherapy practice grew. By the end of 2021, Avail had cancelled all county contracts and gone dormant, allowing Sellers to focus full-time on working as a therapist for IPC where he continued full time for the next several years, eventually becoming the only remaining provider working for that business. In July of 2024, Sellers bought the IPC practice from its original owner, changed the name of Avail to Lasting Change Therapies, and began seeing IPC clients under the new name. Today LCT is a small, for-profit agency employing only one treatment provider. Keeping the business small and simple to operate is essential to allowing Sellers to focus on delivering the best possible care to each client he sees.
